No insurance, no medical treatment, then no SSA disability.

   Good rainy Thursday.
Had a question asked on my Facebook page; what if I don't have health insurance how do I get treatment. Awww the million dollar question. This is how it was explained to me long long ago, "disability is the inability to work, not the inability to pay your bills, not the inability to put food on the table, not the inability to put a roof over your head." I thought to my self at that time: Boy was that harsh or what! To be perfectly honest that is what the law says, harsh non-the-less. The burden is upon the claimant to prove their case based upon the medical evidence. Therefore no matter how truthful and honest you are without medical treatment you will be denied.
In North Alabama many consider Quality of Life as their medical provider. The uninsured pay about 25 Dollars a visit and they help patients get on low/no pay drug programs. Quality of Life also has the diagnostic tools to handle mental and physical problems. http://qolhs.org/locations/ I advise contacting your county health department for advise on where to find low or no cost medical treatment. The facilities are out there in every state, you just have to look for the them.
A side note here, look out smokers. If you smoke and don't get medical treatment you're in for a difficult time. Many Judges feel that if you stopped smoking and spending 6 bucks a pack everyday then you could use that 180 dollars savings a month to go to the doctor. Hard not to agree with that logic unless you are a smoker outside in the rain today trying to get a puff on break.
